Sustainability
Our approach to ESG is structured, measurable and embedded in how we operate. From carbon reduction and social value to workforce development and governance, we align our standards with the expectations placed on modern construction businesses.
Our Environmental, Social & Governance framework
Carbon & the environment
We’re reducing our footprint across fleet, logistics, and material management, built around reuse and efficient asset lifecycles. Steel and fittings leaving one project are inspected and redeployed into the next, cutting waste and lowering embodied carbon.
Our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions have been independently verified against the GHG Protocol for the full 2025 reporting year. Scope 3 measurement is underway. A formal Carbon Reduction Plan, with a verified baseline, reduction targets, and annual reporting commitments, will be published in 2026. We hold ISO 14001 certification, ensuring environmental performance is embedded into how we operate.
Social value
Social value is about being structured, measurable, and relevant to the communities we support. It’s a long-term commitment, and one we’re proud to stand behind.
Our apprenticeship programme, delivered with Simian Risk, takes individuals from entry level through to the Part 2 Scaffolder qualification. Every apprentice is assigned a Black Hat mentor, with structured guidance on site and a clear development pathway built in.
Through partnerships with DIVERT London and Legacy Youth Zone, we create direct routes into construction for young people who might not otherwise find a way in. Stronger communities. A more resilient workforce. We hold Social Value certification through Constructionline and are working towards TOMS framework reporting, enabling us to measure and publish social value generated on a project-by-project basis, consistently and transparently.
People & inclusion
A safe, inclusive workforce is fundamental to performance. We mean that structurally, not just in principle. We have four qualified Mental Health First Aiders, a confidential HR support channel for all employees, and equality, diversity and mental health training available to every team member. Our Equal Opportunities Policy formally recognises equality, diversity and neurodiversity.
Construction has not always made space for people who think and work differently. We are committed to changing that. We are working towards formal neurodiversity accreditation and strengthening our EDI framework in line with evolving industry expectations.
Governance
Accreditation is the starting point. How we operate day to day defines the standard. We hold CISRS, CHAS and Constructionline Gold accreditations. Our health and safety procedures, procurement standards and supply chain accountability processes are documented, audited and available on request.
We are working towards publishing annual ESG reporting on this website, providing a consistent and transparent view of year-on-year performance. Not a one-off document. A clear, accountable commitment. The result is scaffolding that delivers certainty, and a partner who supports your environmental, social value and workforce objectives at every stage.
