A very proud moment for M R Scaffolding Services
Under the chandeliers of the London Hilton on Park Lane, M R Scaffolding was named Access & Scaffolding Specialist of the Year at the 2026 Construction News Specialists Awards.
It’s one of the most competitive categories on the night, and this year was no exception: M R went up against Allen & Foxworthy, Brand Access Solutions, Chris Sedgeman Scaffolding, PHD Access and Spencer Bridge Engineering before the judges settled on their winner.
The judges’ verdict.
The judges called it “a very well-balanced submission” built on “a clear business strategy” and “a real passion for social value.” They singled out a structure built around M R’s people that is “industry-leading,” and a health and safety culture that was “clearly personal, with a good culture being proven.” Language chosen with some care. Plenty of contractors can produce a policy document. Fewer can produce a culture the judges describe as proven rather than promised.
Winning this award is a huge honour, and reading the judges’ reasons makes it even more special.
