I’m genuinely proud of what we’ve built this year. Not just the processes, but the energy in the team.

About progress, partnerships, and the year ahead
By John Trayfoot
We’ve been doing this work for fifty years, and we know what we’re good at. This year has been about looking at how we work and asking: could we do this more efficiently? Could we collaborate better as a team? Could we bring even more value to our customers earlier in their projects?
The answer to all three has been yes.
We’ve strengthened processes that make us faster and sharper. We’ve brought our team closer together around shared goals and standards. And we’ve deepened our relationships with our clients, working with them from the planning stage, where we can add more value rather than waiting until decisions have already been made.
The value of early involvement
Early engagement has always been central to how we want to operate. Working more closely with our customers during the planning phases helps us think through access challenges before they become issues on site.
When we’re involved early, we can map out the most efficient solutions. Not just the safest ones, but also the most efficient and cost-effective. We can identify potential complications while they’re still easy to solve. It’s a collaborative approach that benefits everyone.
This only works because of the team.

Building on strong foundations
Our values and our approach to safety have always defined how we work, but as projects become bigger, it’s clear to me that the closer we work together and with our customers, the more value we add.
We have a strong team here at M R, and the fact that they show up to contribute to making us even better and stronger is something I’m very proud of.
This year, we’ve been more intentional about articulating our strengths and building on them, ensuring they’re clearly understood across the team and visible in everything we do. The tighter we work together, the stronger we are as a team.
The new-ish culture we are building together has had ripple effects because it has ensured that everyone feels valued and respected. Creating clear pathways for people to develop their skills and progress their careers. When people know they matter and can see their future with you, they bring their best work.
And that’s exactly what I’m seeing as we head into the new year.
Looking ahead
I’m genuinely proud of what we’ve built this year. Not just the processes, but the energy in the team. They’re excited about the work we’re doing and the way we’re doing it.
We’ve secured strong work for 2026 through the relationships we’ve strengthened. We’re going into next year more efficient, more connected, and more valuable to our customers than we’ve ever been.
I’m looking forward to a prosperous year with a team that’s energised and ready. We know who we are, we know what we’re good at, and we’re clear on where we’re going.
To my team: thank you. Your commitment makes everything possible.
To our clients: thank you for trusting us. We don’t take that lightly.
To everyone we’ll be working with in 2026: we’re ready.
Here’s to the year ahead.
